Today I continue my voyages into the world of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages. Shockingly, I enjoy working on these packages. Right now they're a big part of my job, so it's good to like them.
Analyzing someone else's packages can be a tricky business. I'm pulling apart each task and checking out the SQL code behind it, and trying to change it for exactly what we need to do. Luckily, the programmer who made these packages is a great commenter and easy to communicate with.
Hopefully I can discover some cool tricks with SSIS and share them with everyone. Unfortunately a lot of the stuff I deal with is proprietary, so the code itself can't really be shared, but hopefully some sort of pseudo-code can, or just the general idea.
