Am I the only person who usually veers towards the studio performance of a song over the live version? I think I am. I always hear these things like, 'oh it's so much better live'(we're not talking about musicals, by the way. Those, of course, are far better live.).
I mean, it does happen. The version of Daughter for instance, that was on Live on Two Legs. But this was like a medley, a combination of songs you wouldn't hear together on the album, and it all fit together so damn perfectly.
And don't get me wrong. I'd love to see my favorite bands live time and again. And I'm still waiting to see Metric up close and personal. But at the moment, it's not a life or death thing. I can be content replaying Combat, Baby over and over or listening to Clone at full blast.
