Tonight my Detroit Red Wings begin their 7-game Western Conference Semi-final against the Chicago Blackhawks. Regardless of what happens in this series, I'm very proud of the 2013 Red Wings. I feared the whole(shortened) season that they would not even make the playoffs, and with 4 games to go it sure looked like they wouldn't. Then Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk got together and put up 18 points in those 4 games. Jimmy Howard was great(as he has been all year, pretty much). The role players, well, stepped into their roles.
I wish DeKeyser wasn't hurt and could help us along in this series, and I think the Blackhawks will probably win in 6 or 7, but I'm hoping the Wings give them the fight that they're more than able to give. I cannot wait for the 2013-14 season and to see how these Wings will do.
